Start with an hour and a half on 25 September to see how a visual language works. Or go straight into the ten-session workshop on 12 October. Both are taught by a Deaf instructor, in a small room, with your hands up from the first minute.

The Art of Visual Communication

Ninety minutes on how meaning is carried by the face, the hands and the space around you — the thing performers spend years learning and Deaf people do natively. No sign language needed, and you will sign by the end of it.

SL 101 — Sign Language Basics

The full beginner workshop. No previous sign language needed. Ten sessions later you are holding a real conversation with a Deaf guest, and it is filmed.

$150 is the founding cohort price. It applies to this first group only and will not be offered again — SL 101 is $180 from the second cohort onward. Two places are $270, three are $400. The 25 September session is the easiest way in — come to it first, and the $10 comes off your enrolment. Deaf learners attend everything free.
